In an ancient forest in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas, a young tiger looks after her brood, teaching, playing, hunting and the skills needed to navigate the tough and contrasting summers and Monsoons.

Herds of elephants, jackal packs, leopards, sloth bears and martens share this magical landscape of mist-enveloped grasslands, rivers, ravines and mighty trees with the tiger family.

As you explore this wild wonderland on the tiger’s trail in jeep safaris, our bewitching guides will enchant you with this forest’s many secrets. One of the few wildlife park zones that are accessible even through the Monsoons, Jhrina, close to Jim’s Jungle Retreat, makes a unique and immersive experience.

Our Summer and Monsoon experience includes spa therapies to ease away the aches of the year gone by, unique in-the-forest guided meditation and Yoga sessions, and a menu of sumptuous farm-to-table cooking that will take you on a safari of world cuisine.

An ode and homage to a pioneer of wildlife conservation in India, Jim’s Jungle Retreat is our sanctuary of mindful luxury that has far more to offer than any resort in Corbett. Spread across 15 acres of ‘Mahavan’, a degraded agricultural land that has been painstakingly rewilded over the last 20 years with indigenous flora, inviting the fauna, merging into the buffer zone of Corbett National Park at Dhela. Jim’s Jungle Retreat is a labour of love and the solace it brings, palpable in everything here.

Jim’s Jungle Retreat is located on the edge of Corbett National Park to the South East at the entrance to both Dhela and Jhirna zones, with almost 1200 hectares of Terai forest land showcasing varied ecosystems. Sharing a boundary with the jungle, our wilderness retreat is a gateway to Dhela, known for having the highest sightings of wildlife including tigers. Rest assured our expert naturalists will guide you through the many wonders of Corbett National Park when you stay at our wildlife haven, a far cry from any Resort in Corbett.

With space aplenty, each offering something different, dining at Jim's Jungle Retreat is an experience in itself, beyond any resort in Corbett can offer. Every meal is served at a different location to amplify the indulgence for the hour of the day. Bush dinners in surprise locations amidst grass and trees, under the open sky on a starlit night, up on the machan; at the Golghar that invites the forest in or at the Carpet Sahib Café with a wonderful view of a watering hole in the adjacent forest where sightings are common. Arrangements for private dining are also available at the Retreat.

The safari experience dictates even the meals at Jim’s Jungle Retreat. Dining here is a food safari, with our chefs crafting a gastronomical experience for you with sublime mouth-watering delicacies from the hill hearths of the Kumaon, family recipes from the Raj and the newabi kitchens of Rampur, the historic railway dinner and a surprising array of cuisines from around the globe.

Our Organic Garden

All the food is organic as it is sourced from the retreat's vegetable patch and village fields nearby, keeping true to our sustainability principles. You are welcome to visit our organic gardens and pick your own vegetables and see them transform into delicacies, a farm to fork experience at our Retreat in Corbett. Our famed bonnet breakfast or safari picnic is something to look forward to.

Fantastic, beautiful and serene

Jim's was fantastic from start to finish. They couldn't do more to try and look after you and cater for your needs, including lots of little extras that go the extra mile. The resort is beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. I think it only has a three star rating but I have no idea how. Food amazing, pool lovely, safari's fantastic and a documentary shown about tigers or the reserve every night. Would come again in a heartbeat.

Excellent stay with great food!

Lovely property and excellent food!
We were there for 3 nights with kids and stayed in the lodge ..the rooms were big and aesthetically done . We thoroughly enjoyed the meals as each day the menu was different and really flavourful.. the place had a nice feel to it and kids had a great time swimming in the pool , exploring the property.
Would definitely recommend anyone who is visiting.

Gorgeous Jungle Lodge

Our group of 4 spent 3 days here during our tiger safari and loved every minute of it. Our room was spacious and clean. The resort provides pitchers of drinking water in the room, which is great to not use single use plastic. The food was fantastic. We had amazing sightings of tigers and elephants. We also saw tons of gorgeous birds, including several hornbills. Every night prior to dinner, the lodge puts on a movie and sets up a very nice outdoor theater, with alcoholic drink options.
Overall:Great lodge and great place to explore Corbett National Park. Our driver Amith was fantastic. The entire staff was welcoming, helpful and attentive. I would recommend this place to others.
