Indian Hare – an elusive mammal of Corbett Tiger Reserve

Indian Hare is one of the least encountered mammals of Corbett Tiger Reserve. By the time you start your morning safari, it has gone down in its burrow and while you are ending your evening safari, you’ll be extremely lucky to have come across one that ventures out of its daytime abode. Indian Hare is crepuscular and nocturnal and recently, on a safari to Corbett Tiger Reserve, Jim’s Jungle Retreat guests were very lucky to observe this Indian Hare munching on roots and grasses, while it was filmed by our naturalist Jeewan Rautela.
